So, I am a HUGE name nerd and I have been thinking about names all the time for many years. I'm also extremely picky... I had Olive's name picked out for years before she was born, and Abel was a favorite name of mine forever too, but this 3rd time around is a little harder to really feel in LOVE with the name. I feel like I won't have that "This is undoubtably THE NAME" this time, but I know I'll be able to choose one that we like well enough to use.

Right now, our top choice is Felix Noble (1 syllable last name).

What do you think of the name, and if you could let me know how many kids/babies with this name that you know that would be great!

Thank you :)

Edited to add: I love that the name Felix means Happy/Joyful

Love the name! We named our youngest son Felix, so I am a bit biased ;)

He is the only Felix I know IRL, but his name gets tons of compliments--the sincere ones--not people trying to be polite like I can tell they are with my older son's name.

Good luck with the naming process!

Love the name Felix and I think it pairs well with your other kids' names! I don't know any Felixes in real life.

I'm not a fan of the name.

How many kiddos do I know with the name?  Zero.

Good luck, congratulations!

I love that name but my first thought paired with your daughter's name was Road to Avonlea, because there were two characters Olivia and Felix. :-)

I like the name Felix, although it's not one I would use personally. I don't know anyone named Felix.

I like the name Felix but it has a slightly negative association for me ("a more convenient season" from the Bible). Don't know any kids/babies but I do know one German adult named Felix.

I knew a Felix, it was a Hispanic man that I worked with when I lived in CA.

I went to college in LBC (I think you're from there?) and I think it goes well with the culture.

This for me, too! I do really like the name and I'm not sure if that's something I would get over personally or not. I know a 1-year old named Felix and I've seen it online more recently. I think it might be cycling around again in popularity, but I'd be shocked it it hit top 50 any time soon.

Congrats!

I've only ever known one Felix, he is Cuban but lives in the UK. I like the name okay, but probably wouldn't use it for my son.

Good luck deciding!

Sarah8511 - Welllll I did a mail in blood gender test and it said boy. (They test for Y chromosome in blood, so unless I got male DNA in my sample, it should be accurate!) My gut said boy too so I'm just going to trust it's correct.:) I haven't gotten around to changing the siggy though...:)

Badger - thank you! I love hearing that. I totally know what you mean about the compliments. I can always tell when they are genuine and when they are just trying to be polite:)

Heather, first of all, congrats! Second, I love the name Felix! My best friend named her son that, and she also gets compliments from random strangers in the park all the time. I also like that it means happy and joyful, and her son has certainly lived up to his name. :) I realize it may not be for everyone, but I think it's classic, elegant and not too trendy, so I am a fan.
